SANSUI SP-300S

Commentary

This speaker system was developed using SANSUI's speaker technology such as the inner frame mounting method.

Equipped with low 16 cm cone type woofer.
The diaphragm is made of slender carbon fiber and newly developed high internal loss binder to improve rigidity and internal loss. In addition, the diaphragm is made of lightweight cellulose fiber with excellent internal loss for the back skin material to reduce the weight of the diaphragm. This realizes low-frequency reproduction with good response characteristic of small diameter.
A 2.5 cm hard dome type tweeter with a PF carbon diaphragm is mounted in the high range.

The enclosure has been developed based on a completely non-resonant concept and uses an inner frame mounting system as the basic structure.
The center baffle is made of 25 mm spruce material with excellent acoustic characteristics. The woofer is fixed with copper plated M6 screws and washers. The tweeter is a conifer MDF block with excellent acoustic characteristics and is attached to the top plate through 20 mm thick spruce.
As with SP-1000, this top plate has a double structure with spruce, and the inside is also made of a lot of spruce material with excellent damping characteristics.

For mounting the speaker terminal, we use a banana chip terminal that is brass machined and gold plated.
This banana chip terminal also has excellent compatibility with very thick cords and can be connected securely with one touch.

A small デットニング treatment is applied to the details, and a thorough anti-vibration treatment is applied using copper-plated washers and screws.
The woofer unit also disperses resonance points and changes the thickness of the die-cast frame so that the vibration mode differs.
