Commentary

A full-size CD player.

Newly developed 3-beam pickup is adopted.
It consists of one signal detection beam that reads music signals and two tracking servo beams that accurately read tracking signals. The newly developed low-noise laser diode optical system realizes high efficiency, provides twice the signal output compared to conventional systems, and realizes high S/N. It also uses a 6-division PIN photodiode that is glass-sealed on a ceramic substrate for receiving light, and has a thin two layer structure with an aluminum die-cast body.

We have developed and installed a powerful Sansui dynamic servo system with a fast search speed. It is combined with a large spindle motor to accurately control the rotational speed. In addition, the tracking servo, which accurately follows the pickup, has a sufficient phase margin, is resistant to disc dirt and scratches, and realizes faithful tracing.

Using newly developed microcomputers and high-precision mechanisms, we have adopted a high-speed search system that instantly searches for songs you want to listen to. A stainless steel shaft with sub-micron roundness is used for the feed shaft for moving the pickup, and an oilless metal with ultra-precision design is used for the sliding surface, so that the beginning of a song can be found smoothly and in the shortest time.

High-quality parts are used for the analog part to improve sound quality.

To reduce interference from the digital section, the power supply section consists of an independent dedicated power supply from the D / A converter section to the analog section. The stabilization circuit is also carefully designed with low impedance characteristics. Together with the strengthening of the ground circuit, high-resolution sound quality is achieved.

A newly developed FL multi-display is adopted. The multi-display using a large FL tube can display track number, elapsed time, remaining time, and memory (program track number).

It is equipped with an auto-space function that automatically creates a constant 4-second blank between each piece of music while playing selected program music or recording deck music.

8 out of 99 songs can be randomly programmed. In addition, it is equipped with a 2-speed manual search function and a repeat function for all songs / programs / one song.
