Commentary
System-up capable enclosure.
The EC 146 can be constructed as a 3-4-way system with 46 cm diameter woofer mounted, or a 2-4-way system based on 38 cm diameter woofer using the attached sub-baffle.
It has an internal volume of 212 liters and a 15-liter back cavity for a 2122H mid-woofer.
The unit layout is JBL's unique mirror image pair configuration to improve sound image localization.
It is composed of Scandinavian birch isobaric plywood common to the EC series and high-density particle board. In addition, unnecessary vibrations such as standing waves are suppressed by the asymmetric arrangement of Yonematsu reinforcement.
