Commentary

Top-of-the-line solid state FM/AM receiver with a tuner with built-in FET.

In the FM front-end section, a 4-series varicon dedicated to FM, RF first stage and RF second stage of FET, and a specially selected noiseless silicon transistor is used for the mixer and oscillator circuit.
In addition, the IF section of 5-stage amplification and 4-stage limiter provide a wide Takamasu, high stability, low noise and low distortion.
A two stage front-end AGC circuit and a one stage IF circuit enable stable reception even in strong electric fields.

Switching system is adopted for the multi-circuit.

The AM tuner section is a dedicated circuit instead of a common circuit for the FM tuner, and uses RF1-stage and 3-stage varicon.
This improves the AM noise characteristics and selectivity, such as the beat and whistle noise typical of AM radio waves.
In addition, it is equipped with a ferrite bar antenna, and the electric field strength can be switched by a long / short distance switch.

All silicon transistors are used for the FM and audio sections. Especially, noiseless silicon transistors are used for the head amplifier to improve distortion and S/N ratio at low output.

The power amplifier uses a complimentary service Darlington circuit SEPP-ITL-OTL system that uses a mesa silicon transistor as the power transistor.
In addition, a pure electronic power transistor protection circuit and a double-type protection circuit using a short-cut fuse are adopted.

The power supply uses a power transformer specially developed by SANSUI for transistor amplifiers.
In addition, a ham proof belt and short ring are attached so that the power supply ham does not come out.

The intermediate amplifier section uses NF-type tone control with low-noise silicon transistors.
Also, since it is a friction type double volume, each channel returns to a different sound quality.
