QRX-2000
Commentary

A 4-channel receiver with a newly developed QS Barrio matrix circuit.

Equipped with QS Barrio matrix circuit developed by SANSUI.
This circuit applies an acoustic-psychological phenomenon called directional masking. When strong and weak sound simultaneously reach the ear, the direction of the weak sound is masked and becomes unclear. This phenomenon is electronically incorporated into a 4-channel circuit.
Compared to conventional 3-dB-type RM decoders, this method provides theoretically infinite channel separation, so the QRX2000 is set to the most desirable value for music playback. It also provides more accurate localization and better sound quality than conventional RM decoders.

Equipped with a function switch that can select various 4-channel effects.
If you press the QS Synthesizer switch, you can enjoy two channel records and other four channels with the new QS Synthesizer function.
The QS Regular Matrix combines the traditional RM with the Barrio Matrix to provide high quality QS4 channel playback.
The phase matrix uses a unique QS Barrio matrix circuit to provide good separation for SQ playback.
Discrete devices support playback of 4-channel tape decks and CD-4-demodulators.

All stages are directly connected to the semi-power complimentary service circuit for the power amplifier.
In the QRX 2000, attention is paid to the heat dissipation effect of the power transistor, and each channel stage is unitized and mounted on the motherboard.

The front-end of the FM tuner section uses a dual-gate MOS FET and a precision 3-row varicon for higher sensitivity. The IF stage uses four ceramic filters and the MPX section uses a dedicated IC for stable sound quality.

The power supply section is equipped with a power transformer of one rank higher class, the power capacitor is equipped with a ripple filter at 4,700 μ F, and a stabilized power supply circuit is used to improve the SN ratio and stability.

It is equipped with functions such as tone control, loudness and tape monitor.
