AU - α 607 MOS Limited
Commentary

This is a limited model that uses for the amplifier stage from stocks used to repair old MOS FETs whose production had already ended, to ones whose manufacturer's warranty period has passed eight years.
This is the last model released as the 07 series.

The power stage of of the 607 MOS Limited, an old-model MOS FET, which has excellent linearity and enables stable high-speed amplification because no accumulation effect occurs, is used as an output element in a pair.
This device was first used in the AU-X111 in 1984, and has been used in high-end Sansui models such as the AU-X1111 MOS VINTAGE (1988) and B-2105 MOS VINTAGE (1996).

The biggest technical approach in 607 MOS Limited was to achieve the optimum operating environment for the current-operated amplifier.
In order to improve the operation of the output stage, which requires a large amount of current inside the amplifier, we have newly developed a large-size heavy-duty transformer with a secondary winding current of 10A, approximately twice that of the conventional transformer. This instantaneous supply of a large current.
The power supply capacitor is 65 φ / 8200 μ Fx2, which is used in the B-2105 MOS VINTAGE. It is compatible with instantaneous large current response. In addition, to increase the current allowance inside the amplifier, the attached power cord and power switch are changed to a current allowance of 15A. The current path is stabilized and instantaneous large current response is achieved.

Equipped with an Ultimate α -X balance circuit, which is the circuit system of a balance amplifier. Power MOS FET is adopted for the output stage, and the current margin of the driver stage is of the driver stage is doubled compared to the conventional one, and A-class operation is achieved.

In order to effectively cut out mechanical vibrations from inside and outside of the amplifier, which cause a kind of intermodulation to music signals, the basic structure adopts a reinforced twin monaural construction in which a power supply part consisting of an electrolytic capacitor and a mechanical floating power transformer is placed in the center, and internal layout with stable sound image and phase is realized.
In addition, pure copper material and Teflon are used to prevent the vibration of the power transformer from being transmitted to the chassis. In addition, vibration control by Teflon tape, which has been used in high-end Sansui machines, is also used as an effective isolation in the main point.

Equipped with an elliptical-shaped radiator that minimizes vibration generation, interference between the power system signal and music signal is eliminated from the basic structure.
In addition, SANSUI's original elliptical transparent resin insulator disperses and absorbs vibrations.
