Commentary

A typical 40 cm cone type woofer unit of TAD (Technical Audio Devices).
It is also used in model2401twin and model2402 which Pioneer announced as exclusive brand.

The diaphragm is made of wood pulp, which has a natural sound. By applying a special aging treatment, it is tough and hardly deteriorated. It has a characteristic that the waist of the diaphragm does not come off by a large input.

In order to obtain the durability that is indispensable for professional use, it is consistent with the concept of DRS (Dynamic Response Suspension). In addition to setting sufficient crosstalk in the vibration support system, high stability against lateral vibration is ensured.
In addition, the vibration support system, which greatly influences the response and resolution of reproduced sound, has been thoroughly studied, and the initial motion sensitivity and input-to-amplitude linearity have been greatly improved.

The Alnico magnet is used for the magnetic circuit, and the distortion generated over the whole band is suppressed to a low level.

By adopting an edge-wise voice coil and using the aluminum die-cast frame and magnetic circuit itself as a radiator, stable performance is shown even in long-term use.
