An FM/AM tuner developed with the aim of being a highly sensitive tuner as well as adopting various systems to improve sound quality.

DDDtypeIII is a further upgrade of DDD (Digital Direct Decoder) TypeII.
The main detection method has been changed from the conventional pulse counting method to the PLL (Phase Locked Loop) method. This eliminates the need for the second IF stage, simplifies the signal system, and improves S/N.

It is equipped with ARTS (Active RealTime Tracing System) in order to maintain high sensitivity even in long distance reception and reception by neighboring stations.
In this method, since the narrow filter follows the desired signal, the advantages of both narrow and wide filters are obtained, and the distortion factor and selectivity performance are improved.
In addition, because it is feed-forward rather than feedback, circuit stability and non-spectrum are realized.

In order to eliminate vibration and resonance that lead to distortion, the honeycomb chassis with excellent vibration damping characteristics has been adopted to increase the strength and to obtain good damping characteristics against external vibration such as sound pressure.
In addition, the local block is highly sensitive to vibration, and even minute vibration changes into sound energy, leading to deterioration of sound quality. Therefore, the local block is filled with resin to prevent deterioration of sound quality.
In addition, a large insulator that is also used in CDs and amplifiers is used to prevent vibrations from the outside, thereby suppressing unwanted vibrations from the lower surface.

Equipped with two FM antenna terminals, you can switch the antenna for each station you want to listen to.

It is equipped with a random preset that can preset up to 24 stations in total.

Three levels of automatic tuning can be selected according to the field strength. If you want to receive a signal weaker than the automatic tuning level, you can use manual tuning.

Equipped with a program memory function, each time the power supply is turned OFF, ON, or OFF, a broadcasting station can be called up in the order in which it was stored. Therefore, when used together with an audio timer, it is possible to record three stored broadcasts in order.

Equipped with MPX mode function, 3 positions of stereo / mono / high blend can be selected according to the electric field strength.

It has a built-in transmission signal equivalent to 50% modulation of approximately 330 Hz, which is the standard level for FM broadcasting. By adjusting the level meter of the deck to -2dB, it is possible to record the appropriate level easily.
