FM dedicated stereo tuner with quartz lock.
By using a quartz lock circuit with a built-in crystal oscillator, the local oscillation frequency is changed in precise 100 kHz increments with no fraction, and is perfectly tuned to the desired radio wave.
Since the oscillation frequency does not change due to changes in temperature or humidity, drift after tuning is eliminated and accurate reception is maintained.
The tuning knob is used as a touch sensor. When the knob is touched, the quartz lock circuit is turned off and the local oscillation frequency is changed linearly.
This ensures a natural feeling of operation that matches the movement of the hand. When selecting a channel, it gradually adjusts from a semi-synchronous state according to the rotation of the knob.
In addition, the tuning state is observed by the light of three LED indicators which are changed to the conventional meter. The tuning is performed while observing the light of the LED indicator. When the knob is released, the quartz lock circuit is activated and the Locked indicator lights.
It also has a built-in re-lock circuit that locks the original signal when the power is turned on again after the power has been turned off.
A parallel balanced linear detector (P. B. L. D p. B. L. D), which is a further development of the conventional ultra-wide-band linear detector. It has excellent phase characteristics and improved detection efficiency and SN ratio by 6 dB.
The MPX section has a built-in Clean Pilot System that extracts only the 19 kHz pilot signal and sends it to the PLL circuit.
In addition, to prevent the pilot signal after the left and right separation from being mixed into the playback sound, we have built in a pilot signal auto-cancel circuit and Pioneer's original method that automatically follows the transmission level fluctuation (8-10% modulation according to the Radio Law), reliably cancels the pilot signal.
In addition to the noise component, the S-curve of the detector detects the interference component, and when the radio wave condition deteriorates, the IF band is automatically switched from wide to narrow to receive the signal according to the radio wave condition.
All terminals are gold-plated.
