Commentary
FM stereo tuner with quartz lock and touch sensor system.
The F-005 uses a quartz lock circuit with tuning up to the accuracy of a crystal oscillator, and the crystal oscillator changes the local frequency in precise units to ensure the desired radio wave is tuned.
After tuning, the local frequency is locked and does not modulate even if there are changes in temperature or humidity, and there is no tuning shift or drift.
It uses a touch sensor system. When you touch the tuning knob, the quartz lock is released and natural tuning is possible. The Tune indicator lights when you turn the tuning knob to catch the desired broadcasting station, and the Locked indicator lights when you release your hand to indicate that the frequency of the desired broadcasting station has been locked.
In addition, it is equipped with a re-lock circuit so that even if the power is turned off after tuning, the radio wave of the same broadcasting station is caught when the power is turned on again.
Three stages of linear phase ceramic filters with excellent delay characteristics are used in the IF section, enabling high selectivity and low distortion regeneration.
PA-3001A (IF part), PA-1001A (MPX part) and PA-1002A (output part), which are higher performance than Pioneer's high-integration ICs, are used in each circuit to greatly improve characteristics.
Equipped with Pioneer's original pilot signal auto-cancel circuit.
This circuit automatically follows and cancels out any changes in the transmission level of the pilot signal, so there is no need to worry about the pilot signal mixing into the reproduction.
The front-end section consists of three dual-gate MOS FETs with high gain and excellent SN ratio, and a five link varicon.
It is equipped with a recording level check function that is convenient for setting the recording level of the deck during air check. The 330 Hz signal can be output from the output terminal at the same level as when FM50% modulation is used.
Equipped with output volume, muting switch, multi-path output terminal, etc.
