Commentary
Center speaker with thin design.
A 12 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit adopts a midship drive system. In this system, a small magnetic circuit using a neodymium magnet is placed in front of a cone type diaphragm, making it much thinner than conventional units. In addition, the drive point, support point and center of gravity are close to each other, making it easier to move and less likely to induce unnecessary movement.
In addition, by eliminating the damper, the driving force is transmitted directly to the diaphragm, increasing the initial motion sensitivity and eliminating the distortion and noise caused by the damper.
A 2.5 cm dome-shaped tweeter is installed in the high range.
This unit uses a neodymium magnet in the magnetic circuit, and high-frequency playback is available up to 60 kHz.
The structure that integrates the front baffle and the frame of the woofer unit has been adopted to improve strength and reduce weight.
There is a wall hole on the back that can be used vertically or horizontally.
The S-MT5-C can be combined with the S-MT5-LR to create an ideal surround sound field.
There are two color variations : white (S-MT5-C-W) and black (S-MT5-C-K).
