Commentary
A series center speaker developed with the theme of home theater and home concert hall.
Two 16 cm cone type woofers are installed in the lower range.
The cone uses Kevlar fiber. In order to realize an ideal unit material, the thickness, direction of fiber and cutting are taken into consideration, and satin weave is used. In addition, nonwoven fabric of aramid fiber is used for the mat material, and the contradictory elements of rigidity and internal loss required as a speaker unit are balanced at a high level.
A 13 cm coaxial type unit is installed in the middle and high range.
This unit combines a 13 cm cone type mid-range and a 3 cm dome type tweeter. The mid-range diaphragm uses Kevlar fiber.
In addition, Pioneer has introduced the HSDOM (Harmonized Synthetic Diaphragm Optimum Method) for the tweeter. By analyzing the material, shape, edge, etc. of the diaphragm using the finite element method with a computer, it is designed to maximize each function and performance. By combining piston motion and divided vibration in a well-balanced manner, ultra-high frequency reproduction is achieved. The diaphragm of this tweeter uses a 20-micron titanium oxide diaphragm, and ultra-high frequency reproduction up to 50 kHz is achieved.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
In addition to increasing the strength of baffle plates and top plates, etc., but also placing reinforcing plates at optimum positions inside, unnecessary vibration generated by each unit is completely suppressed.
Uses a large gold plated input terminal.
