Commentary
Tall Boy speaker system with ABD technology.
Two 13 cm cone type woofers are installed in the low range.
The diaphragm of this unit uses Kevlar fiber, and the magnetic circuit uses double magnets made of large strontium ferrite.
In addition, a newly developed high-rigidity joint ring is adopted to reduce transmission loss and reduce unnecessary vibration and improve response by firmly connecting vibration system parts.
A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of lightweight polyester fabric with a special coating of damping material. The voice coil is made of highly rigid aluminum bobbin, which reduces signal transmission loss and expands the high-frequency reproduction limit. In addition, the magnetic fluid is used for the magnetic gap, which provides excellent handling characteristics during high-power operation.
By adopting an aluminum die-cast flange, the rigidity of the unit itself is improved and unnecessary resonance is eliminated.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system and the newly developed Acoustic Balance Drive (ABD) technology.
ABD technology uses simulation analysis to optimize the placement of the woofer and ports so that driving the woofer provides acoustic balance within the enclosure and effectively eliminates standing waves in the vertical direction of the enclosure.
The exterior is finished with a natural wood veneer.
