Commentary

This is a tall boy type speaker system that uses a vertical twin system and inherits the technology developed by Pioneer in monitor speaker technology.

It uses a vertical twin system which is an in-line coaxial arrangement double woofer system with a tweeter at the center and a woofer at the top and bottom.
This ensures that the acoustic energy of the two woofers is centered and aligned with the axis of the tweeter, so that all sounds from low to high frequencies are played around the tweeter.
As a result, excellent directivity and phase characteristics have been achieved.

For the lower range, we use two 20 cm cone-shaped woofers with a diaphragm laminated with polymer film based on the cone used in TAD (Technical Audio Devices).
Alnico magnet is used for the magnetic circuit.

A 3-cm dome type tweeter using a ceramic carbon diaphragm, a new material with carbon purity of 99.9%, is adopted for the high frequency band.
An alnico magnet is used for the magnetic circuit as well as the low frequency.

Each unit is mounted using the midship mount method.
Each unit is fixed to an inner baffle installed inside the enclosure to avoid transmitting unwanted vibrations generated by the unit to the baffle.
In addition, the concept of non-resonance is pursued, and the shield of the speaker frame is firmly fixed by a helper.
In addition to the high rigidity of the enclosure, a floating top is adopted to suppress unnecessary vibration of the top plate. The top plate is divided and floated from the enclosure. Furthermore, the vibration level caused by the vibration of the woofer is greatly reduced by using a damping material.
A high-density particle board with a thickness of 50 mm is used for the baffle plate, and the elliptic curve round baffle that draws a large arc reduces reflection and diffraction phenomena of sound.

By configuring dedicated circuits for each unit in the network, mutual interference is prevented and transmission loss is reduced.
In addition, OFC (oxygen-free copper) wire is used for the choke coil and wiring cord, and the condenser is carefully selected for acoustic use.

The speaker jacks can be connected by bi-wiring so that the low-frequency and high-frequency cables are fed separately.
This prevents the back electromotive force of the woofer from affecting the tweeter, further improving the sound quality.

It comes with spikes and felt that can be used depending on the floor such as flooring or carpet.
