Commentary
This is a direct speaker system of the S 180 with new materials in pursuit of digital realism.
A 32 cm cone woofer made of carbon graphite is used for the low range.
In order to eliminate unnecessary vibration caused by the driving force of the woofer, a new midship mount system has been adopted.
A 10 cm cone type unit using ceramic carbon, a new diaphragm with carbon purity of 99.9%, is adopted for the middle area.
By integrally forming the cone and dome, the rigidity is higher than usual.
A beryllium ribbon type tweeter is used for the high range.
A high-density particle board is used for the enclosure to increase the rigidity by increasing the thickness of the board.
In addition, by adopting a round baffle, the diffraction phenomenon of sound is suppressed.
