Commentary

An improved speaker system for the S-101 that inherits the technology of the S-3000 and S-707.

Each unit is supported by an inner baffle provided inside the enclosure, using a full midship mounting system.
As a result, unnecessary vibration of the baffle plate is reduced by supporting it at a part other than the baffle plate.

An 18 cm cone type woofer with carbon graphite for the diaphragm is used for the low range.
In addition, LDMC (Linear Drive Magnetic Circuit), which reduces distortion of the voice coil, is used to realize low-frequency playback with less distortion even at large amplitudes.
In addition, DRS (Dynamic Response Suspension) is adopted for the support mechanism of the cone, and it demonstrates excellent linearity from large input to minute input.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter with ceramic carbon for the diaphragm is used for the high range.
Ceramic carbon with a carbon purity of 99.9% is used as a diaphragm without using a binder or base material to achieve excellent characteristics.

After careful consideration of the layout of the network, we have made it possible to reduce crosstalk by using solderless caulking wiring, eliminating resonance of elements and cords, and separating elements for woofer and tweeter.

The enclosure uses a high-density particle board.
The inner baffle also serves as reinforcement for the top and bottom and side plates.

There were 2 types, S-101C-W with walnut finish and S-101C-K with black finish.

There was a special speaker stand sold separately.
This stand can be combined with the enclosure by screw connection.
It is made of particle board and comes with a tuning kit such as felt and packing.
