Commentary

A two way speaker system using a dome-shaped unit.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
In this woofer, the transient characteristics are improved by coating the cone paper, and the edge is made of polyurethane foam that has good linearity and is stable against changes in temperature and humidity. This suppresses low frequency distortion and edge resonance. In addition, the long type voice coil is used to reduce low frequency distortion.
A ferrite magnet of 110 mm φ is used for the magnetic circuit, and a pure copper cap is attached to the center pole to suppress the middle and high frequency distortion caused by non-linearity of the magnetic material.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
A 30 μ m thick ultra-hard duralumin diaphragm is used for the diaphragm. Excellent directional characteristics are realized by attaching a defuser and a radial protector to the front surface. In addition, polyurethane foam is used to hold the center of the diaphragm to make the diaphragm highly compliant and to reduce fo and overall strain.
A special method is used to pull out the voice coil lead wire so that it can withstand a large input.

A large ferrite core with high magnetic permeability is used for the choke coil in the network section. The strain caused by the core is extremely small, and constant loss is suppressed by using 1 mm φ copper wire for woofer.
We have also adopted a Mylar film capacitor in the tweeter to prevent deterioration of sound quality due to loss of the capacitor.

The enclosure uses a rigid particle board with a thickness of 15 mm. In addition, a felt partition in the middle of the enclosure prevents standing waves and adjusts Q.
The exterior has a walnut oil finish, and the front grill has a structure that prevents the deterioration of acoustic characteristics caused by the grill.
