Commentary
Double reverse deck developed to be a reference deck of W cassette deck.
Dolby HX PRO is installed on both I and II decks.
By changing the bias amount according to the amount of the high-frequency component contained in the music signal and always recording with an appropriate bias, the high-frequency characteristics are improved and the dynamic range is expanded.
The power supply uses a high-speed active servo regulator to improve the ability to follow sudden changes in the music signal.
In addition, oxygen-free copper (OFC) is used for the winding and power cord of the power transformer with bifilar winding to control polarity, and copper plate is used for heat radiation plate to improve quality.
We have adopted a low-impedance head using PC-OCC (single-crystal high-purity oxygen-free copper) for the coil winding of the head. We have also adopted high-quality parts selected through trial listening, such as oxygen-free copper wire cords with polarity indication and carefully selected capacitors.
A cassette stabilizer is installed to suppress the vibration of the cassette half.
A special rubber stabilizer is set in the tape transport and a special resin half pressure is set in the cassette holder. When the cassette holder is closed, this stabilizer firmly holds the cassette half from both sides.
In addition, it uses a double lock mechanism that securely locks the entire cassette holder.
In order to suppress the vibration of the deck body, we have installed a casted power transformer using a cast iron transformer case with high rigidity, excellent vibration damping characteristics, and almost no resonance frequency as a power transformer, which is considered as a vibration source.
In addition, we have adopted a honeycomb chassis that has high rigidity and greatly reduces resonance, and a large honeycomb insulator that cuts vibration from the outside. Through these measures, we are working to eliminate vibration and resonance.
In the center of the front panel, there is a large FL display with a level meter, electronic counter, and various indicators to display the operation status of the deck.
Both Deck I and II are equipped with a smooth quick reverse mechanism and 4-digit electronic counter with automatic switching between Deck I and II.
It is equipped with functions such as parallel recording function which can record two tapes of one source simultaneously, twin recording / playback quick reverse & relay recording which can record continuously for three hours, skip function which automatically detects and fast-forwards unrecorded part, blank search which finds unrecorded part which can be additionally recorded and makes additional recording easy, skipping selection of 15 songs in front and back, auto REC mute which creates unrecorded part for four seconds and makes recording pause state, double speed copy, sync start and sync stop mechanism, etc.
Wireless remote control is included.
