PDR-D5
Commentary

CD-R/CD-RW recorder with Hi-bit Legato link conversion.

It supports two types of recording media, CD-R and CD-RW, so you can use different media according to your recording needs.

Equipped with a digital synchronized recording function, it can be easily recorded and edited by connecting to other digital audio equipment.
It also has a built-in sampling rate converter that automatically converts digital sources with different sampling frequencies to the CD sampling frequency of 44.1 khz.

Equipped with digital volume function, input level for digital recording can be adjusted.
The PDR-D5 can adjust to different input levels in the range of 12 dB to -48dB, eliminating differences in recording levels.

The digital circuit is equipped with Hi-bit Legato Link Conversion, a broadband playback system developed by Pioneer.
In this circuit, music signals in the audible band above 20 kHz are reproduced by estimating them from signals within the audible band and 1/f characteristics to reproduce more natural tones.

The D/A converter is equipped with a multi-bit DAC24.
The DAC24 combines the advantages of a multi-bit DAC and a 1-bit DAC. With eight levels in the amplitude direction, the DAC24 achieves 24-bit resolution, conversion of data scaled by Hi-bit Legato Link Conversion.

The Z-concept has been adopted to improve signal detection from the disk and transmission accuracy.

The input terminal is equipped with a digital input terminal and an analog input terminal that are coaxial with the optical system.
The output terminal is equipped with an analog output terminal and a digital output terminal that is coaxial with the optical system.

The power cable uses a 3-pole inlet power cord.

Equipped with Strategy Control IC.
Each CD-R disc has slight variations in recording characteristics, which can cause writing and reading errors. The Strategy Control IC automatically adjusts the recording environment and, in combination with the Running OPC operation, optimizes the laser power and recording strategy at the time of recording, enabling highly accurate data writing.

A highly rigid chassis and bonnet have been adopted to reduce unnecessary vibration from the outside and generated inside.

Wireless remote control is included.
