Commentary
A file-type CD player with a roulette rack system that can store 301 CDs.
The newly developed roulette rack system accommodates 301 sheets of 12 cm CD in a 420mmx433mm composite size.
You can call up and play the disc you want to listen to by pressing the jog dial or the numeric keypad. In addition, the single loader for single-disc playback enables single-disc interrupt playback.
A commercially available adapter is required to play an 8 cm CD.
The digital circuit uses Hi-bit Legato link conversion to reproduce the sound range up to 40 kHz.
This circuit generates music signals of up to 40 kHz based on signals of up to 20 kHz recorded on the disc, and realizes more realistic sound reproduction and 24 bit quantization beyond the CD format.
In addition, Pioneer's original design concept, the Of Pioneer, is adopted, and by eliminating fluctuations in the time axis direction of digital signal, faithful reproduction of recorded performance is realized.
Newly developed DAC24 is mounted on the D/A conversion part.
The DAC24 is a multi-bit DAC that has the advantages of both a multi-bit DAC that is resistant to jitter and provides stable sound quality, and a 1-bit DAC that is high resolution but resistant to jitter and tends to generate high-frequency noise.
The DAC24 achieves 24-bit high resolution by providing eight levels in the amplitude direction. It faithfully converts data expanded by Hi-bit Legato Link Conversion, achieving a resolution of more than 120 dB in the band up to 40 kHz.
In addition to the 3 play modes of custom, all and single, it is equipped with features such as best selection memory and pre-bias disk scanning.
It supports CDTEXT. You can also enter the title and artist name for each disc. You can enter up to 12 characters for the title and artist. In addition to entering with the jog dial or remote control, you can also enter with a DOS-V PC keyboard.
Only alphanumeric characters are supported.
It is possible to control 602 disks by connecting two PD-F1007 s.
Wireless remote control is included.
