A stereo cassette deck developed as a 3-head reference master deck.

The mechanism section is equipped with a reference master mechanism.
The capstan motor uses a quartz PLL servo DD motor, which boasts high rotational accuracy, and the reel motor uses a coreless DC motor without torque ripple in principle. In addition, a closed-loop dual capstan system, a high-precision tape drive system, is employed. In addition, a resonance dispersion system that disperses overlapping of wow and flutter peak components is adopted.
In addition, the high-precision and high-rigidity zinc die-cast head base placed directly on the mechanical chassis is precisely adjusted using optical jigs to ensure phase accuracy.
The mechanism drive employs a digital feedback type motor drive mechanism that combines an absolute encoder, a microcomputer and a dedicated DC motor.

It is equipped with Pioneer's original Auto BLE system, which automatically sets recording conditions (bias, sensitivity, equalizer) according to the characteristics of each tape.
Focusing on the relationship between the frequencies of the music source and the MOL (maximum power level) of the tape, this is a MOL balance control type that allows you to set the MOL balance according to the source by selecting one of three bias setting points : Under, Peak, or Over.

The playback equalizer amplifier is composed of a DC amplifier with two differential stages using Dual FET and Dual transistor → SEPP output stage.
In addition, a shunt power supply that can always supply a constant current without being affected by the impedance component in the power supply loop is used for the drive power supply of the amplifier, and low distortion factor is realized over a wide band.

It uses a large insulation made of a material with high rigidity and high vibration damping rate to prevent external vibration from affecting the mechanism and audio circuit.

Acoustic parts such as acoustic condensers, copper-wrapped Styrofoam condensers, gold-plated input / output terminals, and oxygen-free copper power cords are used.

Equipped with a large wide range FL peak meter, it displays the range of -40dB to + 14 dB in 35 steps.

The head uses an amorphous magnetic alloy for the core, and uses a low-impedance laser amorphous head applying high-precision laser processing technology.
Oxygen-free copper wire is used for the winding of the reproducing head.

An autoloading system is adopted in which when a cassette is inserted, an optical sensor detects it and the cassette is automatically installed.
In addition, it is equipped with a power eject that stops the mechanism and ejects automatically when the eject key is pressed during play.

Equipped with a Dolby B/C noise reduction system that reduces tape hissing.

It is equipped with a real-time counter that displays the remaining amount of tape in minutes and seconds with high precision and a dual-mode electronic counter that can be switched to a normal tape counter.

Equipped with an auto monitor that automatically switches the monitor of Source ⇔ Tape.

It is equipped with auto REC mute which can make 4 seconds silence part with one touch.

It is equipped with a tape return that automatically FF/REW to counter 0 with one touch, one touch MS that can cue the beginning of the next song or the current song, and an auto tape selector that automatically changes the tape position.
