Commentary
An AV amplifier compatible with THX Surround EX developed by inheriting the ideas of VSA-D10EX and VSA-D8EX.
It is equipped with a decoder for 7.1 channel theater sound compatible with THX Surround EX and DTS-ES.
By connecting an external stereo amplifier and surround back speakers, you can play 7.1 surround sound.
Equipped with a decoder compatible with MPEG-2 AAC decoder.
A direct energy MOS-FET is used in the power amplifier section to realize a stable speaker drive even in multi-channel operation with excellent power linearity due to highly efficient signal amplification.
By selecting and using this element for all five channels, the quality of each channel is equalized.
The internal layout uses direct construction.
This method reduces noise and signal interference between circuits by minimizing and simplifying signal paths, separating digital and analog circuits, and properly arranging parts according to the signal path.
The chassis structure uses an isorated chamber construction.
The two flexible structure chassis (double-layered chassis) with vibration control plates, the transformer frame and stabilizer to reinforce the lower surface of the transformer, and the transformer isolator to isolate the transformer and amplifier part increase the rigidity of the chassis and reduce unnecessary vibration.
The 7.1 ch multi-channel direct input jack allows you to amplify the multi-channel audio signal from a DVD audio player.
In addition, a component input terminal for progressive scan is mounted for images.
The optical digital input terminal is mounted inside the front sealing panel, making it easy to connect highly portable equipment.
Equipped with multi-channel digital noise reduction.
Compensates for noise in audio signals from cassette tapes, VTRs, FM/AM tuners, and other devices, making the sound less noisy and easier to listen to.
The D/A converter is equipped with a 96kHz/24bit D/A converter.
Equipped with advanced theater mode.
This function is a sound field mode unique to Pioneer. You can choose the sound field that best suits the style of the living room and the sound taste of the user while retaining the essence of surround formats such as DTS and Dolby Digital.
In 7-D theater mode, 2-channel sources such as Dolby surround sound can be played in 7.1 channel multi-speaker surround sound.
Equipped with Midnight listening mode, it can improve the sense of presence that tends to be lacking when enjoying movies or music at low volume such as at night.
This mode adjusts the frequency response, balance, dynamic range, and other characteristics of the human auditory sense according to volume changes.
Large thick aluminum heat sink is adopted.
A 4-stage FL dimmer display is used for the display part.
Comes with a large AV preset learning remote controller of all self-illuminated key type.
