Commentary

AV amplifier that supports DTS.

It is equipped with a Dolby digital and DTS decoder as a surround format.

High-speed, high-quality DSP with 1-chip DTS / Dolby Digital Decoder developed by Pioneer & Motorola (U.S.A.) in Shinkai is used for signal processing.
This 1-chip IC has a processing capability of 100 MIPS and enables high-quality audio signal processing of Dolby digital signals and DTS signals. Moreover, the DSP function is programmed in the 1-chip IC itself, enabling the creation of a realistic sound field with Pioneer's unique DSP sound reproduction mode.
The single-chip IC makes it possible to simplify and reduce the size of digital circuits and to achieve high sound quality by eliminating noise as much as possible.

In addition to the conventional DSP modes (6 modes : Theater1, Theater2, Hall1, Hall2, JAZZ, and Dance), it is equipped with the newly developed Advanced Theater Mode, which further enhances the sound effects of discrete multi-channels such as DTS and Dolby Digital.
Musical mode supports music and musical-like movie sources and simulates a large concert hall.
Drama mode simulates an old medium-sized movie theater so that you can enjoy movies in a calm atmosphere.
Action mode simulates the latest large-scale movie theaters so that you can enjoy the impact and realism of a movie theater.
In 5D Theater Mode, Dolby Pro Logic sources such as LD and BS/CS broadcasts are played back with the latest 5.1 channel digital surround-like effects. This feature can be used with Dolby Digital or DTS sources more surround effects.

Each surround mode can be adjusted up to nine effect levels.

Equipped with Midnight Listening mode.
This function adjusts various parameters such as frequency characteristics, inter-channel balance, inter-channel delay, dynamic range, etc. in conjunction with volume changes to compensate for the impact and sound that tend to be lacking in low-volume playback at night.

Equipped with digital NR function.
This function greatly reduces the noise contained in the input audio signal without damaging the music signal, enabling reproduction of minute sounds that were previously buried in noise.
You can achieve a noise reduction effect of up to 20 dB or more when playing back sound from old videotapes, cassette tapes, FM/AM tuners, etc.

The same design is used for all five channels in the power amplifier section.

Equipped with 5.1 channel input jacks.

It is equipped with digital input terminals which can switch the input of Route 3 and digital output terminals of one system.
It also has four audio inputs and one output, a video input Line 5 Route 3, an S-image input Line 5, and an S-image output Route 3.

Built-in pre-out jacks for all surround channels, including subwoofer channels.

FL display with 4-stage dimmer function is adopted for the display part.

The chassis structure is based on technologies developed in the Exclusive C7 and other technologies to achieve a robust chassis structure. In addition, by reducing vibration from the inside, vibration and resonance are eliminated and sound quality is improved.
In addition, a transformer frame is used to suppress the vibration of the transformer.

A detachable OFC power cord is used.

An energy-saving design that reduces power consumption during standby is adopted.

A multi-control remote controller with some self-illuminated keys is included.
