¥ 79,800 (Released in November 1989)
Commentary
The AV control center inherits the basic performance of the VSA 930 and is designed with an emphasis on the quality of the center channel such as the same power and quality of the L/C/R channels.
Equipped with Dolby Pro Logic Surround with improved sound localization.
By incorporating a directional enhancement circuit (steering logic) using an active matrix, crosstalk between adjacent channels is suppressed, sound direction and sense of localization are clarified, and more powerful surround is realized.
Three center channel modes are available for selection depending on the quality and settings of the speakers.
Normal distributes low frequencies below 100 Hz to the front L/R, and cuts off the center channel signal below 100 Hz, which is advantageous when using a small center speaker.
Wide is useful when you are using speakers of the same quality for the L, R, and C.
When the center speaker is not used, the center channel signal can be divided into left and right outputs in Phantom mode.
The power amplifier section has introduced a new method that drives the front and center channels with the same power and quality.
Six power transistors for each L/C/R channel are fixed to a large honeycomb heat sink with excellent vibration damping characteristics, and drive with 90Wx3 power.
In addition, the center channel uses a dual-center system that allows two center speakers to be connected, making the sense of direction and orientation of lines and vocals clearer.
It is equipped with an auto input balance function in order to reduce the gap in channel balance for each scene, which occurs in general video software.
By automatically correcting the balance in real time so that the input signal level always matches correctly, crosstalk between channels is suppressed and sound localization is improved.
In addition to Dolby Pro Logic, 3 surround modes are also installed.
Dolby 3 ch logic mode adds the rear speaker signal to the front speaker to create a surround sound field with only the front 3 ch.
In the stadium mode, you can reproduce the feeling of a vast sound field like an outdoor stadium.
In Simulated Surround mode, you can enjoy the sound of live houses and concert halls, and the delay time can be adjusted from 5 to 35 ms in 5 ms steps.
In Studio mode, you can simulate a studio or small hall.
A direct construction design is adopted to make the signal path the shortest distance.
It is equipped with a source direct switch that bypasses the switch contact circuit in stereo mode and is directly input from the function switch to the volume and then directly input to the power amplifier.
In addition, honeycomb chassis, honeycomb heat sink, and large insulator are used to prevent vibration.
Equipped with an output terminal for center woofer.
Equipped with a motor drive electric volume that can be operated by remote control.
Equipped with sound field memory that can store sound field data such as front balance, rear balance, level and surround mode.
Equipped with a test tone key convenient for adjusting the volume balance of each channel.
It comes with an AV programmable remote controller with a learning function that can control your VTR, TV, and audio equipment with a remote control.
