Commentary
A CD player using the bit stream method.
The D/A converter uses the bit stream method.
The conventional method method, 16 circuit elements (resistors) were used, but in the bit stream method, the analog amount is not represented by the amplitude of the pulse, but by the modulation method of representing it by the coarse / dense wave, and the D/A conversion is performed by a single switch circuit. This makes it possible to perform D/A conversion with high linearity without depending on the accuracy of the element.
In the process of the bit stream method, the signal density is increased by 256 times higher oversampling, quantization noise is reduced by noise shaping, coarse / dense waves are formed by a pulse generator consisting of a pair of capacitors, and an analog signal is obtained by passing the coarse / dense waves through a low-pass filter.
The LHH500 uses a bit stream D/A converter in differential mode.
In differential mode, the left and right channels are fed to completely separate chips, and one chip receives the positive and negative phase components of one channel, and extracts the difference as an output to improve distortion, noise and channel separation.
A CDM-4 mini die-cast mechanism is adopted for the mechanism part.
This mechanism adopts a unique swing arm system with weights and balances placed at the rear, while further improving sound quality.
Copper-plated die cast chassis is used for the chassis.
The LHH500 uses copper plating to smooth out the flow of ground current and prevent noise from entering the signal. The LHH 200 uses copper plating to maximize this effect.
A toroidal transformer is used for the power supply section.
Toroidal transformers are circular transformers with a seamless core and have the advantage that the loss of the magnetic field through the core is very small. Therefore, even at the same voltage, a stronger magnetic field is generated, enabling high-density voltage conversion.
In addition, the electrolytic capacitors that make up the power supply are of selected large-capacity type, ensuring a stable current supply.
As an output terminal, a balanced output is mounted in addition to an unbalanced output.
This balanced output is usually composed of an operational amplifier, but this one is equipped with a high-grade audio transformer using nickel core.
As a result, the balanced output is directly converted into a balanced output without passing through an amplifying element, and high-purity signal transmission is possible.
Equipped with large capacity FIFO.
FIFO is the amount of memory used for error correction and jitter removal in first in first out. This memory is 8 times larger than the usual 8 frames (up to 64 frames). This allows for better error correction and compensation and more faithful music playback with powerful servo circuits.
Wireless remote control is included.
