Commentary

Based on the E-83AmkIII, this is an upgraded speaker system with new mid-range and low-range units and improved high-range units.

In the low range, it is equipped with W-3024E which is a 30 cm cone type woofer with technology developed in the Ceptor and materials.
The diaphragm uses a mixed cone made of two types of Finnish pulp with different physical properties. It is finished with a curved curved cone that is effective for sound quality. In addition, the edge uses neoprene foam rubber edge that has good followability and prevents mechanical strain such as horizontal deflection of the cone. This realizes fo = 20 Hz for the woofer alone.
The voice coil is an edge-wise wound voice coil, and a long voice coil with a winding width of approximately 20 mm using an aluminum foil bobbin ensures good propagation characteristics.

In the middle area, the diffusion horn squawker of the Septor unit HM-450A is mounted as it is in the MD-301001C which is a type without external surface makeup only.
The diffusion horn is designed so that the sound path of the horn becomes longer at the peripheral part. By changing the sound wave inside the horn into a spherical wave, the directivity, which was a weak point of the horn type, is greatly improved.
In addition, the diaphragm is made of ultra-hard Djelal Min-foil, and active air damping is performed in the back cavity, so that transient characteristics and strain characteristics are improved and the low-frequency reproduction range is expanded.
A newly designed double equalizer has been adopted in the horn throat section. By making the slit double, the sound emitted from each part of the diaphragm becomes opposite phase in the slit section and cancels out each other to shorten the wavelength, thus improving the high-frequency characteristics.
As a result of these measures, although the cut-off frequency is as low as 450 Hz, the horn length is shortened and miniaturized by the diffusion horn, and the high band is extended to 1.3 kHz by the adoption of the double equalizer, realizing a wide band.

A horn type tweeter TW-611A is mounted in the high range.
The horn section has a sufficient horn load and employs a precision die-cast extrinsic horn that reduces internal reflection and material noise. The surface of the horn is treated with a malt-plane treatment that increases the apparent length of the horn and improves braking, resulting in excellent transient characteristics. This malt-plane treatment also reduces reflection inside the horn and increases the naturalness of the reproduced sound.
The diaphragm is made of ultra-hard duralumin foil developed by Septor, and combined with the magnetic circuit with magnetic flux density of 14,500 gauss, smooth response is realized.

Low-loss LC network is used in the network section.
It is also equipped with 5-step level control for mid-range and high-range, and can be adjusted within ± 2 dB.

The enclosure is sealed, with hard chipboard for the front baffle, lauan plywood for other areas, and a walnut finish for the exterior.

Equipped with multi-terminals, 3-way multi-amplifier drive is possible.
