Commentary

This speaker system is an improved version of the E-313A.

W-2516B which is a 25 cm cone type woofer is mounted in the low range.
In this unit, the weight of the cone paper is reduced by 40-50% to achieve bright medium and low frequency reproduction, and the compliance of the suspension system such as the edge and damper is enhanced to achieve excellent low frequency reproduction of fo = 25 Hz.
The damper has excellent compliance with the vibration direction, good linearity, and uses polyester damper with less lateral vibration.

The middle area is equipped with MD 504 c which is a 5 cm reverse dome type squaker.
The diaphragm of this unit is made of ultra-hard duralumin foil with a thickness of 35 microns. In addition, the driving point of the inner drive is selected with the best efficiency while observing the vibration mode with a laser, so high efficiency close to that of the horn type is achieved.

A 3.5 cm inverted dome type tweeter, TW-405B, is mounted in the high range.
The diaphragm of this unit is made of hard and thin super-hard duralumin foil. It is molded into a dome 30 μ m thick. Combined with the unique double support and inner drive system, there is no disturbance of vibration mode and no distortion even in the case of Tsutomu Dainyu.

A 5-step level control is provided for each of the middle and high ranges.

The enclosure uses a particle board and the baffle plate is especially thick to minimize the effect of resonance because of the correlation between resonance and audibility.
