Commentary
D-202A limited version of the speaker system.
A 16 cm cone type unit is used for the low range.
Onkyo's original raw material manufacturing method (pulp beating method) for the Bio-Croscone diaphragm has been updated to further improve the balance of sound quality.
In addition, we have raised the low-frequency grade such as elastomer edge with high linearity and magnetic circuit of MDCT (magnetic strain reduction technology).
For the high range, it uses a diaphragm equivalent to the D-502A, and a dome tweeter made of pure silk material kneaded with pure silk fabric using original coating technology.
Together with the adoption of 6N-OFC voice coil, the purity and resolution of music are enhanced.
The enclosure is a highly rigid cabinet of all MDF with sufficient reinforcement. Damping material is attached inside the cabinet, and it is restrained by steel plate on top of it. This demonstrates excellent vibration control performance.
Gold plated terminal for banana plug is adopted.
