Commentary
Stereo cassette deck with built-in WIDEX head and Dolby.
The head uses an ultra-hard WIDEX head that has about 10 times more wear resistance than conventional permalloy.
The head surface is finished hard and smooth, and in addition, a full shield type is adopted to minimize the effect of external magnetism.
The drive section uses a DC servo motor that automatically controls the rotational speed using an electronic circuit.
A DC servo motor that maintains rotational accuracy without being affected by voltage or load fluctuations and a highly reliable rotational transmission mechanism provide excellent driving characteristics.
As a noise reduction system, a Dolby system is built in.
Moreover, in the case of Dolby IN, the MPX filter is linked so that there is no need to worry about Dolby malfunction caused by the pilot signal of FM stereo.
Equipped with a line input selector that sends the line input signal directly to the recording amplifier without passing it through the microphone amplifier, the S/N ratio during line recording is improved.
The upright loading allows the user to check the remaining amount of tape running and track label at a glance. The cassette door also uses an oil dump system for smooth ejection operation.
In addition, the detachable door makes cleaning and maintenance of the head easier.
Equipped with a timer standby mechanism, recording and playback can be automatically recorded and replayed by setting recording or playback to standby and connecting a timer.
During standby, the pinch roller is separated from the capstan, so there is no need to worry about damaging the tape or mechanism.
It is equipped with a tape selector with bias / equalizer independent 3-step switching, and is compatible with various tapes.
It is equipped with a review / queue mechanism that can rewind and fast-forward while playing.
Also, if you press Review after recording, recording is canceled and rewind operation is started.
Equipped with a full auto-stop mechanism that automatically stops the mechanism when the tape ends.
Equipped with a large VU meter.
In addition, it is equipped with a peak level indicator that turns on an LED to respond to large instantaneous inputs during recording that cannot be followed by the VU meter.
There was a wood case as an option sold separately.
