A CD player that uses an optical transmission system using optical fiber cable to completely separate digital and analog signals.

An optical transmission method is adopted in which the output of the digital filter at the final stage of the digital circuit and the D/A converter are connected by optical fiber. By this method, digital and analog signals are completely separated in both the signal line and ground line, and adverse effects on analog circuits caused by digital signals with pulse components, such as clock signals, servo signals for rotating and optical systems, and display signals, are minimized.
In optical fiber transmission between digital and analog, a total of 16 channels of optical signals are output, including four channels of signals (L/R clock, word clock, bit clock, and data signal) through serial conversion of 16-bit digital signals, and two channels of de-emphasis and audio muting signals which connect the audio circuit to the microcomputer of the system control.

It is equipped with a 2 x oversampling digital filter to sharply cut the ultra-high frequency components (24.1 kHz to 64.1 kHz) centered on the 44.1 kHz sampling frequency without affecting the audio signal.
The analog filter is equipped with a 7th active low-pass filter.

In order to accurately and stably capture pits, mechanical parts such as laser pickups, pickup drive motors, and disk rotation motors are integrated with an outsert chassis.
In addition, the head block has a vibration-proof structure floating from the main chassis, making it less susceptible to external vibration and impact, and improving tracing capability.

In the power supply section, the power transformer windings are separated into analog and digital windings, and the windings are shielded to prevent mutual interference.
In addition, a delta turbo circuit is added to the analog power supply to suppress modulation noise generated from the transformer and improve the quality.

The analog circuits after the D/A converter use ONKYO's unique super servo system.
By feeding back to the D/A converter with a super servo circuit, unnecessary ultra-low frequency components such as distortion and noise components generated by the D/A converter etc. are cut off, and large capacitance capacitors in the signal path are removed.

It is equipped with functions such as memory performance of up to 16 songs, jump selection function in forward and reverse directions, 2-speed fast forward and fast backward functions, queue review function, index search function, all songs / block repeat function, pause function, etc.

Equipped with a headphone output with volume.

Wireless remote control is included.
