Commentary

A CD player from the Quest Integra series that was developed and designed based on the concept of quality in search of the possibility of new sound.

The D/A converter is equipped with a newly developed FPCS (Fine Pulse Conversion System) based on the ONKYO custom digital filter SM5843AP.
The FPCS consists of the ONKYO custom digital filter SM5843AP combined with the Philips SSA7350 and TDA1547 (DAC7) x2. The SAA7350 used in the FPCS has an upsampling function of 192 fs when a signal of 4 times or 8 times is input. Good results can be obtained by using a digital filter with high calculation accuracy. Therefore, excellent characteristics can be obtained by combining it with the SM5843AP.
The SM5843AP supports 20-bit in/out and achieves a 0.00003 dB ripple in the passband through high-precision arithmetic. In addition, unlike conventional digital filters, the SM 2000 AP employs image-processing technology in the field of computers to solve unnatural music expressions by sharply cutting out frequencies above the playback limit frequency (20 kHz), thereby realizing smooth interpolation.
In addition, stable operation is achieved by using the Accu Pulse Quartz, which is a vibration-resistant rod-shaped crystal mounted on a polysorb cushion, as the master clock that serves as the reference for these devices.

The power supply section is equipped with a LASER transformer with ultra-low leakage flux independently in digital and analog systems. In addition, seven systems, two analog systems, two D/A D/A conversion systems, one digital system, one mechanical system, and one muting system. This eliminates noise from the power supply, such as interference and interference. These power supplies are composed of the super linear power supply with low noise and low impedance characteristics used in the Integra series, and further improve sound quality.
In addition, a static lighting system using LEDs is used on the display to prevent noise from the display from contaminating the music signal, and the muting and emphasis signals are separated by a photo-isolator to prevent interference from digital signal processing to the analog part.

For the mechanism part, an open-top mechanism without unnecessary vibration such as a tray is adopted in the center arrangement. In order to reduce the effect of vibration, it is fixed to the chassis with an insulator with multiple resonance frequencies.
In addition, it uses a weight chucking system that also serves as a disk stabilizer for removing brass.

Construction is adopted in which digital signal processing part, D/A conversion part and analog signal processing part are arranged so as to surround the center arrangement mechanism.

The power supply uses an ultra-low impedance, high-grade Chemi-Con and a 4A-type bridge rectifier diode, both of which have been used for separate amplifiers.
Doyle Radarstein film capacitors and other parts are used in important parts of the signal system.

Uses a highly rigid, non-magnetic all- aluminum extruding molded monocoque chassis with a 9 mm thickness front panel.
This aluminum extruding molded monocoque chassis has a high-precision finish with an error of ± 0.5 mm using state-of-the-art high-precision machining technology. Ribs are provided on the inner and outer surfaces to improve chassis rigidity and reduce unnecessary resonance.

The use of a thick AC cord reduces the power supply impedance.

Equipped with an optical digital out terminal with on/off switch.

Equipped with two gold-plated analog outputs, fixed and variable. The level of the variable terminal can be adjusted with the attached remote control.
