Commentary

A direct drive record player with a DC servo motor.
By seeking the best matching of all constituent parts, complex mutual relationships among constituent parts are investigated and characteristics are improved.

The drive section adopts a direct drive system using an 8-pole 24-slot DC servo motor.
The motor directly drives the turntable to suppress uneven rotation, noise and characteristic degradation caused by the transmission mechanism. In addition, the number of revolutions is controlled by the servo circuit.
Aluminum die-cast frame is used for the motor board to improve stability.

Rotational speed can be fine-tuned by ± 2%, and accurate rotational speed can be monitored by turntable edge strobe.

The turntable has a weight of 1.6 kg, a maximum diameter of 31 cm, and an inertial mass of 230 kg ・ cm.²And a turntable with the best matching value with the servo motor is adopted.
This turntable has a high-precision finish that eliminates uneven mass distribution by achieving dynamic balance of each point, and achieves excellent rotational accuracy.

The tone arm uses a 9 mm φ diameter pipe arm with gimbal support with special Teflon processing applied to the weight part of the bearing to improve sensitivity and stability.
In addition, it is equipped with functions such as anti-skating mechanism by magnet repulsion type and gold-plated 4P connector which suppresses contact failure.

The cartridge is equipped with MM type Empire 909/EX cartridge.

In order to prevent adverse effects of external vibration, sound pressure from speakers, and internal vibration, the cabinet and insulator are carefully selected in terms of material and shape, and are designed to be resistant to vibration distributed over the entire frequency range.

Equipped with a low-volume 35pF/m connection code for 4 ch playback, a fleece top type dust cover, and an overhang gauge.
