Commentary

A pre-main amplifier that uses Onkyo's proprietary Super Servo Integral technology.

W ・ Super Servo provides an acoustic improvement effect such as removing harmful noise components by applying servo feedback from both the + and - terminals on the output side of the amplifier to its input side.
In addition, by using the Super Servo Integral Method, the electromotive force of the speaker caused by external factors such as other channel signals with time lag is corrected by a special method for the linearity of the output stage, so that harmful time difference distortion is prevented.

The final output stage operates using a linear switching method.
In this method, an efficient class B amplification is adopted for the operating characteristic, and a special linearity correction circuit works to suppress crossover distortion.

Compatible with MC cartridges and for higher sound quality, a simple 2-amp configuration consisting of only a high-gain equalizer circuit that can be directly connected to the MC cartridge and a flat amplifier for output is adopted.
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the super servo system, the equalizer amplifier is a one stage system that can be used for all types of cartridges from MM to MC by simply increasing the gain of the equalizer amplifier without using a step-up transformer for the head amplifier for MC.
The last stage is class A push-pull, and it is possible to feed the signal to the next stage amplifier with low distortion without difficulty even under heavy load in high frequency range.

The tone control circuit eliminates the tone amplifier to simplify the circuit, and uses Onkyo's original tone circuit to improve the sound quality.
This circuit consists of only passive elements and does not use a capacitor in the signal path, which is problematic in sound quality.

We have developed and adopted a new resistor with excellent frequency and strain characteristics, uniform charge distribution by conductive coating layer, improved magnetic characteristics, and examined the sound quality.

In order to cope with poor quality sources, a soft circuit is provided to make it easier to listen by controlling the resolution.

There is a recording selector that separates the deck from the circuit when it is not necessary and does not affect the sound quality. You can also record back-channel programs.

Built-in pre-out terminal.

Audio volume of special structure is adopted.
