Commentary
Kota of the Gemsonic series is a 3-head tape deck.
The Jemsonic 807 was developed as a dedicated model for Fidera, the audio brand of Nakamichi.
The mechanism uses a unique belt drive system that takes advantage of the features of the conventional Fidera series, and the wow flutter is reduced.
In addition, a hysteresis, synchronous, 4-pole type motor is used for the capstan motor, and the 3-speed mechanism with no speed deviation can be used in both vertical and horizontal directions.
In addition, a new one hand switching mechanism with automatic stop and tape counter is used.
The amplifier section has a solid-state configuration using 16 transistors. Independent circuits are used for recording and playback. This allows you to record sound while comparing the sound of the input source with that of the tape being recorded.
The oscillator is a push-pull type, the bias frequency is 96 kHz, and the recording compensation is LC compensation.
The input terminal is equipped with a terminal for MM type cartridge to match the RIAA curve, and recording and playback can be performed from a record player.
The playback compensation can be switched between 50 μ s and 100 μ s of the NARTB in conjunction with the speed switching knob.
The exterior uses an oil-finished walnut case and a silver mirror-finished panel design.
