Commentary
A high-density speaker system based on the DS-73D.
A 32 cm cone type woofer using a Polycraft honeycomb diaphragm is mounted in the low range.
The Polykraft Honeycomb Diaphragm has a honeycomb structure in which a skin material, which is made by impregnating special resin into paper pulp, and a Polykraft Honeycomb Core, which is also impregnated with resin, are bonded with polyamide adhesive. This structure increases rigidity and realizes a specific elastic modulus approximately four times that of paper. In addition, due consideration has been given to the impregnation resin and adhesive, and internal loss has been increased to approximately 20% of that of paper, and frequency characteristics and strain characteristics have been improved.
A 10 cm cone type squaker using a CFP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) diaphragm is mounted in the middle area.
The CFP diaphragm is reinforced by adding highly rigid carbon fiber to polypropylene, which has a large internal loss, and is further molded own molding technology to achieve high-density medium - and high-range regeneration.
In addition, ω - titanium is used for the center cap material, and the high frequency characteristics are greatly improved by making the edge part a tangential shape.
A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter using a D. U. D. ω - titanium diaphragm is installed in the high range, and clear high range reproduction is realized.
A low-distortion network circuit has been adopted.
The attenuator has a structure that does not include a panel.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed, and the internal structure is a unique dispersion resonance type to disperse resonance modes and suppress box ringing.
