Commentary
A tall boy type speaker system that uses a staggered multi-drive.
L. C. P. (Liquid Crystal Polymer) is used for the diaphragm of all units.
Liquid crystal polymers have excellent specific elastic modulus due to high-speed injection molding using self-reinforcing effect and moderate internal loss. They are crisp and have very little natural sound.
By using this diaphragm material for all units in a two way system with equal sound velocity, excellent acoustic characteristics are realized in all bands.
In the low range, 18 cm cone type woofer and 16 cm cone type woofer are mounted.
In addition to the usual 2-way configuration, the staggered multi-drive system, which adds a low-range reinforcement woofer, smooths the connection with the high-range and realizes realistic low-range playback.
In order to naturally locate the sound image in the center of the screen, the front baffle adopts an inline arrangement in which three units are arranged on a vertical coaxial line, so that two straight lines on the left and right are arranged on both sides of the screen, so that the sound image is connected in the center of the screen.
The enclosure is designed using the original Voicing theory in order to match the afterglow of sound and image as an AV equipment.
The DS-30C does not use any sound absorbing material at all, and utilizes finite element method and other analytical techniques to control the volume velocity of each unit in relation to the positional relationship of the units to suppress standing waves. This naturally reproduces the sound afterglow that is essential for AV speakers.
The pedestal part is removable, and the height is designed to correspond to Mitsubishi projection TV45P-Z1, 45P-A1 and 40P-A1.
