Commentary

A speaker system incorporating bipolar technology to improve directivity.

Wide-directional speaker units are placed on the front and rear baffles to drive in phase.
In the case of a rear open type bipolar flat plate speaker, it was not possible to realize such wide-directional characteristics because it is generally a plane wave with opposite phases in front and rear and it is strongly affected by phase interference. However, with this technology, almost 360 degree non-directional diffusion characteristics are obtained.

M-1 is a 3-way 6-unit configuration.
Each band consists of a ハイパーポリック dome tweeter that maintains quick transient characteristics and low distortion rate flat response over a 180 degree directional range in the high-frequency range. In the mid-frequency range, a high-speed response wide-band mid-range with a 3-layer laminate carbon-added polypropylene light-mass cone is adopted. In the low-frequency range, a special treatment is applied and carbon-added polypropylene, nitrile PVC edge, and a high input-resistant long-stroke woofer with aluminum voice coil bobbin is adopted.

The enclosure uses CAD design and CAM processing technology to limit dimensional error to ± 100 microns.
In addition, high density fiberboard is used and the generation of natural resonance and standing wave is eliminated by strong tongue joint structure, internal partition wall and solid angle reinforcement.
All units are flush capes submerged in the baffle surface to avoid the influence of diffracted waves. In addition, the corners are curved, and the grill cloth is fixed on the same plane as the baffle with no gap so as not to interfere with good diffusion patterns.
The surface finish of the wooden part is black gloss finish.

The network section is developed by computer modeling to ensure the most neutral response and tone balance in all 360 ° directions, and is tuned with carefully selected parts and hearing tests.
The input terminal supports bi-wiring and bi-amplifier.
