Commentary

A direct drive player that inherits the solid orientation of SOLID-5 and of SOLID-5 and the leakage flux countermeasure of DD-10.

The motor section employs a transformer-less 6-pole AC motor based on the FG servo system. The double speed detection mechanism based on the FG servo system provides high reliability for constant speed rotation.
The FG servo FG servo system errors in mechanical machining accuracy of turntables, motor shafts and bearings, and changes in rotational speed due to voltage fluctuations caused by changes in ambient temperature, which cannot be compensated by conventional speed detection methods.
In addition, because it is transformer-less, there is no effect of leakage flux to cartridges with poor shielding or low-power cartridges.

The cartridge is equipped with the plus-1 MM cartridge.
By adopting an ultra-lightweight aluminum pipe cantilever and reducing the weight of the tip, the effective mass of the vibration system is greatly reduced.

The cabinet is hollowed out from the hard board and has a simple structure with the necessary color of the player in 2 places on the left and right.

Instead of the conventional 33 - and 45-rpm independent switch system for speed switching, a continuously variable system from 30 to 50 rpm is adopted.
The specified number of revolutions can be checked with a strobe and neon lamp inscribed on the outer circumference of the turntable.

There were two types : the black body Take-5 and the wood-based Take-5A.
