MCP1
Commentary

An MC head amplifier developed by McIntosh in order to maximize the capacity of the MC cartridge by gathering the know-how acquired through many years of amplifier manufacturing.

It is hand-made under the philosophy of McIntosh's Emotional Response for Music, with the themes of minimizing internal noise and distortion in the signal path and completely eliminating the effects of external electric fields.

The power supply employs a 200 kHz modulation switching power supply unique to McIntosh. It does not generate an electric field that induces hum. It is also resistant to external noise, and shuts out noise components contained in the AC line.

The MCP1 is equipped with four pairs of input pin jacks and is compatible with four types of input impedance by replacement, thereby preventing deterioration caused by impedance changeover switches and other devices.
