Audio control center that supports 6 ch (5.1 ch) input.

Two 6-channel input terminals and one RCA/XLR output terminal are installed.
The subwoofer channel has essentially flat transmission characteristics and is designed to insert and release base management circuitry as needed, so it can be converted to a surround back channel by changing its settings.

The built-in level trim function allows you to adjust the volume level of the subwoofer, surround speakers, and center speaker to match the front L/R during multi-channel playback.
This adjustment can be performed at any time during program source playback.

The 6-channel master volume employs a high-precision digital control system using a 128 step optical rotary encoder. It has a resolution of 0.5 dB and a tracking accuracy of 0.1 dB. Moreover, residual noise is greatly reduced by linking a post-attenuator installed after the 20 dB gain stage. The volume level is displayed as a percentage on the fluorescent display.
(The 2004 catalog described it as a digitally controlled volume with a 128 step optical rotary encoder, but the 2007 catalog described it as a 214 step digital electronic volume.)

It is equipped with a programmable input selector.

An electromagnetic switching system unique to Macintosh is used for signal switching.
In this system, precise contact electrodes plated with gold, rhodium, and ruthenium are placed inside a glass tube filled with inert gas, and they are opened and closed by switching on and off an external magnetic field. Therefore, this system is maintenance-free and does not generate measurable distortion.
Ruthenium is an excellent contact material, but to protect delicate contacts from impact, the entire switch assembly is housed in an anti-vibration housing.

The fluorescent display employs a uniform illumination structure using light diffusion fiber that improves visibility without compromising the external design.

Equipped with a tone control circuit.
The entire circuit can be turned off with a bypass switch, or it can be programmed on / off for each input.

Built-in phono equalizer circuit for MM cartridges.
This circuit has an extremely high open-loop gain, but the impedance of the feedback network is completely reduced to minimize distortion and noise.
In addition, a powerful current amplifier stage with an output of over 100 mW is installed in the final stage to ensure a wide dynamic range and drive margin.

You can optionally add an FM/AM tuner module.
The panel display and tuning function are automatically set at the time of installation.

Equipped with a high-quality headphone output terminal using a dedicated amplifier.

It is equipped with various data ports for centralized control of Macintosh peripheral devices and Route 3 remote power control terminals.

Equipped with an auto-mute function that delays start-up for approximately two seconds in order to cut transient noise from input devices when power is turned on.

It comes with a wireless remote controller that enables integrated use of Macintosh products such as CD players.
We can control other companies' products by using the data port together with the RCT-4 translator accessory.
