Commentary
A horn equipped with an acoustic lens.
In an acoustic lens, a kind of obstacle is arranged correctly in the path through which sound passes, and sound waves at both upper and lower ends are delayed to obtain spherical waves. However, sound waves emitted from a normal horn tend to become plane waves due to the design of the shape of the lens and the problem of the connection with the horn.
In order to solve this problem, the ALH45 is equipped with a new, small-sized special lens with a peak-type sound path inside the horn, which has high sound pressure.
This acoustic lens emits sound pressure evenly as a spherical wave over a wide range of 90 degrees horizontal angle and 30 degrees vertical angle.
