Commentary

As the second SACD multi-channel player, this SACD player inherits the technology of high-end machines.

Multi-channel playback of SACD is supported.

This is the first SACD multi-channel player to use the current feedback HDAM (High-Speed Voltage Amplification Module) circuit for all channels of audio output. This circuit was first installed in the high-end model SA-14. It is the first SACD multi-channel player to use this circuit for all channels of audio output. It also uses a discrete current feedback amplifier for its filter amplifier.

As with the SA-12S1, a copper plate is added to the base of the multi-channel output terminal to achieve ground 0 impedance between the terminals. This fixes the ground potential of all six channels to one point, enabling higher quality playback.

The DAC is equipped with three CS4397 s made by Cirrus Logic, and supports six channels.
The DSD signal is also directly connected to the 24-element multi-element switched capacitor, which has low jitter characteristics at the final stage of the SACD-DAC, enabling highly accurate analog conversion of the DSD signal.
In conventional CD playback, the PCM signal is oversampled to 128 fs inside the SACD-DAC, and high linearity playback is achieved by combining dynamic element matching (DEM) and multi-element switched capacitor.

The mechanism uses a SACD/CD audio dedicated mechanical module developed in-house.

The power supply section is equipped with a large core size EI transformer using OFC winding.

The power supply block capacitor uses an original audio-only capacitor (3300 μ F/25V) developed through repeated trial listening.

The headphone output circuit is a discrete configuration equipped with a high-speed current buffer amplifier with high drive capability.

The chassis structure uses a double-layered chassis and the bottom chassis uses 1.6 mm thick steel plate (1.3 kg) to eliminate vibration.

The LPF switch allows you to switch between Custom all (wide-band playback of all channels), which is effective when listening on a SACD-compatible system, and Standard all, which is used when listening on a conventional system.

Equipped with a display off function, it can suppress pulse noise generated from the fluorescent display tube and prevent the influence of noise.

You can view the TEXT information used for SACD and CD disks.

In combination with an external timer, you can specify the track you want to listen to and play it on a timer.

In addition to the gold model, there were limited 100 black models.

Wireless remote control is included.
