Commentary

SACD cd player that puts in the technology cultivated in the development of successive SACD players.

The D/A conversion part is equipped with CS4397 which is DAC made by Cirrus Logic.
In addition to the 1-bit DSD signal which is the recording format of SACD, this IC also supports 16-bit PCM signal of CD by the built-in dynamic element matching circuit.

The filter amplifier section uses a discrete high-speed amplifier.
It is a current feedback type circuit using Marantz original HDAM (high-speed voltage amplifier module).

The internal layout is arranged on the left side facing the mechanical module, with the power supply circuit at the center, analog audio circuit, digital output circuit, and headphone circuit.
This layout eliminates crossing of audio signals and power lines, jumper and wiring materials as much as possible, and signal loss is suppressed by simple and straight signal transmission.

The servo and decoder circuits of the mechanical module use a four layer glass-epoxy substrate to reduce noise radiation.
In addition, the tray is coated with anti-vibration paint, and the color is black to minimize the influence of the diffused reflection of the laser, thus reducing the influence on the sound quality.

The headphone output is equipped with a dedicated output circuit.
The circuit consists of a high-speed current buffer amplifier and an input buffer circuit to achieve stable sound quality.

The power supply block capacitor uses a custom product that was developed through repeated trial manufacture and trial listening.
In addition, high-quality parts are used for parts related to sound quality. For example, an audio electrolytic capacitor is used for analog audio and its power supply, and a low-noise, high-speed response Schottky barrier diode is used for the power supply rectifier circuit.
In addition, the printed circuit board uses a double-sided copper through board that is lead-free, so that the area of the shield surface and GND surface is sufficient to reduce impedance and noise.

The power supply section uses a power transformer with separate windings for each of the digital, analog, and display systems. The rectifier and smoothing circuits are also independent from each other to eliminate interference between circuits.
The core size of the power transformer is 57mmx47mmx35mm thick, ensuring sufficient capacity, while shielding the core part to suppress leakage flux and reduce the influence of noise on the inside of the equipment.

Extruded aluminum material is used for the front panel.

As a CD digital output terminal, one coaxial and one optical system are provided.

It has a quick replay function.
With this function, you can repeat playback by returning any set time (select from 10 seconds, 20 seconds or 30 seconds) with one touch during playback.

Supports SACD single-layer, dual-layer, and hybrid playback.
