Commentary
A high-performance CD player based on technologies such as a 4 x oversampling digital filter and a left-right independent 2D/A converter.
While maintaining the basic configuration of the "Z-Filter", which is composed of a 4 x over-sampling digital filter and a 3rd order Bessel filter, the D/A converter is equipped with a 16-bit 4 x over-sampling LSI instead of the conventional LSI in order to improve performance.
We have also introduced newly developed LSIs for digital filters and PLL demodulation circuits before D/A conversion, so that the decoder circuit can be integrated into a 3-chip LSI.
The CD drive uses a newly improved CDM-2 that is compact, lightweight, and vibration-free.
The sub-chassis, swing arm, and other CD drive mechanical components are made of high-density glass-wool plastic, which is used in medical and precision equipment. This reduces weight and reduces resonance frequency.
In addition, using Philips' proprietary replica technology, the surface of the objective lens is coated with a 10-micron nonspherical film, and the optical system consists of two lenses, eliminating spherical aberration that cannot be avoided with spherical lenses.
In addition, the focusing mechanism has been improved from the conventional MM (moving magnet) type to MC (moving coil) type to enable quick tracking.
The CDM-2 is mounted in a completely floating structure, and the tray lid, which was integrated with the tray, is also separated, and the entire CD drive mechanism including the tray is separated from the chassis and floats.

Remote control (RMC-75) with 10 keys is included.
Equipped with a multi-display that centrally displays three types of time information : total time, elapsed time, and remaining time, track amber, and index number.
When combined with a Marantz / Synchro / Rec compatible cassette deck (SD565, SD-74, etc.), you can control the recording start with the play button of the CD-75.
Equipped with a headphone port with volume.
With the direct play function, when you press the play button, the disc tray closes and play starts automatically.
Features include a random access program of up to 20 songs, skip play of up to 99 songs, index play, 3-speed search and repeat function.
