Commentary

A CD player developed by incorporating all the technical results of Marantz's CD technology and inheriting the design of a high-end machine.

The D/A converter is equipped with a unique Z-filter consisting of a 4 x oversampling digital filter, a D/A converter and a third order Bessel low-pass filter.
Sound quality has been improved by making the low-pass filter a low-order Bessel type with excellent phase characteristics. The passband width of the Z filter reaches 30 kHz, and the phase characteristics and transient response characteristics are also excellent.

It employs a 2D/A converter system that processes both left and right signals with a dedicated D/A converter, eliminating phase rotation and improving phase characteristics.

The pickup section is equipped with a swing-arm pickup that drives an ultra-small laser pickup with a fully dynamic balanced arm.
The swing arm mechanism is fixed to an aluminum die-cast base and controlled by a strong servo to improve the tracing capability.

Aluminum die-cast chassis is adopted to suppress external vibration and internal micro vibration such as rotating system.

Direct access of up to 99 songs is available, and a random access program of up to 20 songs, skip play and repeat functions are available.

It is equipped with a digital display that shows the number of songs on the disc and total time, number of songs being played and elapsed time, number of program songs, etc.

With the Direct Play function installed, if you press Direct Play after pulling out the disc tray, the disc tray will automatically close and start playing.
