Marantz CD-17D
¥ 99,000 (released in 1995)
Commentary
A CD player with digital input.
The CD-17D is equipped with the CD7 servo / decoder IC for the first time in the world. The CD-17D is equipped with the CDM 12.1, a three beam linear tracking mechanism developed by Philips. This mechanism realizes more accurate and reliable tracking control.
Both the front and rear have optical digital inputs that can be used as D/A converters.
It supports sampling frequencies of 32 khz, 44.1 khz and 48 khz, and input switching by remote control is possible.
The D/A converter uses a bit stream type D/A converter DAC7.
On the main board, the latest HDAM circuit and FET output buffer are mounted to achieve higher slew rate and lower impedance. HDAM is a high-speed voltage amplification module with thermal stability and shielding.
Comes with an aluminum top wireless remote control.
