Marantz SC-7S1

Commentary
In order to respond to the SuperAudio in the true sense, each circuit of input / output system, volume control and power supply was thoroughly reexamined, and the stereo control amplifier realized the excellent separation of 100 db or more at 20 khz.
A fully balanced configuration is adopted.
The volume uses an 8-string linear control volume which is a development of the original 4-string volume of Marantz.
This volume reduces the gang error of each channel from 0 to -100dB ± 0.5 dB, which occurs in a normal analog volume. By adding a newly developed HDAM SA to this volume, the CMRR (Common-Mode Noise Reduction Ratio) is dramatically improved and ultra-wideband is realized.
The power supply circuit employs a choke input method to thoroughly remove noise from the power supply.
This method has very few harmonic components in the rectified waveform, making it the lowest for a control amplifier.
In order to reduce the feedback impedance of the current feedback circuit and to realize even higher speed, we have newly developed the buffer amplifier separate module HDAM SA, which is a further evolution of Marantz's original HDAM, and installed it in the SC-7S1.
The SC-7S1 is equipped with a total of 12 units, 4 each for the input / output buffer amplifier section and 4 for the V/I conversion section.
Up to six SC-7S1s can be connected to the floating control bus for synchronous drive, and multiple control amplifiers can be synchronously controlled by high-speed bidirectional communication.
You can also adjust the level trim using the remote control from the listening point, making it easy to set the optimum sound field for multi-channel settings.
With this system, two SC-7S1s and four MA-9S1s can be connected to a complete bi-amplifier.
Wireless remote control is included.
