Commentary
Based on the PM-8, this pre-main amplifier has been further polished to a higher level of perfection.
In order to reduce transient intermodulation distortion, we have developed our own Low-TIM design for the control section as well as the power section.
In addition, in order to eliminate noise degradation at high output in class AB, newly developed super high-ft transistors with an ft of 90 MHz are used for all four single-channel and parallel push-pull connected power transistors, thereby reducing switching distortion.
A DC configuration MC head amplifier using a low-noise FET with matching pair characteristics is mounted on a DC configuration equalizer with a 3-stage direct connection SEPP output stage.
Equipped with a cartridge load selector, it is possible to draw out the performance of the cartridge more.
It is equipped with a tritone control that can be adjusted in each of the low, middle and high ranges. In addition, the sound field can be adjusted more finely by changing the turnover frequencies between the low and high ranges.
The two decks are equipped with two types of record selectors that can record different sources independently.
You can also add tone correction during recording.
The power transformer is equipped with a pre-power transformer and a power transformer, respectively. In addition, the output transformer and the capacitor are custom-made with large capacity and high reliability and are independently configured on the left and right to prevent the deterioration of regulation.
Coaxial cable is used for the shield wire portion of the signal system that handles low voltage, and oxygen-free copper wire is used for all other lead wires.
The protection circuit includes a unique energy sensor type that protects the power transistor without interrupting music playback.
