Commentary

This pre-main amplifier incorporates the latest features such as slide-type tone control.

Five ICs are used in the amplifier stage to improve long-term reliability and performance.

The tone control section uses the slide type used in professional recording consoles to improve usability. It also includes a tone control defeat switch to isolate the tone control from the circuit to obtain a flat characteristic.

Equipped with a cancelable loudness compensation control, the program source can be adjusted at low volume.
Loudness equalization is combined with volume control.

Variable overlap drive (V. O. D circuit) is mounted as a protection circuit.
This Marantz proprietary circuit uses special current control and double-transistor safety circuitry to prevent damage to transistors and speakers in the unlikely event of damage.

With a dubbing jack on the front, you can easily connect a second tape recorder or deck.

Equipped with high / low cut filters, stereo / mono mode switches, etc.

The wood case was sold separately as an option.
