Commentary
This 3-way speaker system uses metal diaphragms for all units.
Based on the theme of high efficiency and wide dispersion, the completeness is improved by the repetition of elaborate calculation, experiment and audition.
A 30 cm metal cone type woofer (L-3003) is mounted in the low range.
The cone section uses a metal cone with features such as a piston-like vibration band that expands by about one octave (twice) in the high-frequency direction, less deterioration in sound quality due to changes in humidity, and stable quality. Aluminum alloy with a thickness of 200 μ m is used for weight measurement, and a cap-cone structure is used to increase rigidity of the entire diaphragm.
In addition, a unique V-shaped ギャザードエッジ has been adopted in the edge section to improve the mechanical straightness of the piston vibration of the diaphragm, reduce the distortion at large amplitude and edge resonance distortion, and successfully lower the lowest resonance frequencies.
The mid-range is equipped with 5.5 cm metal single plate cone type mid-range (M-5501).
As with the woofer, it is made of aluminum alloys. The edge has a ギャザードエッジ with an amplitude of ± 2 mm. Combined with the back cavity, the lowest resonance frequencies are lowered to 280 Hz.
A dome type tweeter (H-2501) using a 2.5 cm titanium diaphragm is mounted in the high range.
Heat-resistant voice coil is used in this unit.
Each unit uses an aluminum die-cast frame to reduce unnecessary vibration.
The enclosure uses 3-layer particleboards.
It is equipped with continuously variable level control for middle and high frequencies.
